Sleipnir can also charge the tip of his spear with energy, and then fire it out in a precise beam across the arena in your direction. There is also a 3-swipe combo that (whilst technically possible to parry) you will have no other choice but to precision dodge through, as going from one slash to another, Sleipnir will consistently close any distance you gain from him via a precision dodge, so hit it three times in a row as each slash comes towards you. Sleipnir closes distance very effectively whilst performing each attack in the combo, hence why consecutive precision dodges are really your best bet to avoid damage.

If you see Sleipnir pull back his free hand and a red glow builds, get ready to dodge as the window will be very narrow.Īs previously mentioned, the slash and lunge combo from phase 1 returns, now with greater range thanks to the spear, and all attacks in the combo (bar the first lunge) being imbued with this dark red magic. Sleipnir can also fire out a relatively large red orb that'll home in towards you very quickly. The easiest way to remember when to anticipate the dodge is as Sleipnir finishes his slashing/lunge combo which he'll always perform after summoning the circle beneath you.
Though it may seem you can't escape it, the circle will stop following you just before it explodes, giving you a brief window to dart away. After a short time, it will violently explode with red fire. Whilst efficient movement can help you avoid any damage, in later phases you'll need to consistently execute precision dodges to avoid the slashes in particular.Īnother staple for Sleipnir is to teleport away and summon a dark smoky circle around your feet that will follow you. This combo will persist into later phases, growing in power and ferocity each time. Sleipnir is an agile warrior that will routinely execute a combo of a lunge, upward slash, downward slash, and ending with another lunge.
